General Hospital and Dynasty alum Emma Samms is engaged! The actress is set to marry ex-BBC News anchor Simon McCoy.
McCoy confirmed the news to the British tabloid the Daily Mail, saying, "Yes, it's true. We are both so happy, as are our children."
The couple, who live together in the south of England, has not yet set a wedding date, but they are optimistically planning for a post-pandemic ceremony sometime next year.
"We shall celebrate in the spring, when it's safe to share a party," McCoy said.
Samms has not yet spoken publicly about the engagement. She has, however, previously expressed her love for McCoy, who helped see her through her battle with COVID-19 and its subsequent, lingering aftereffects known as "Long COVID." She did, however, take to Twitter to celebrate something else -- McCoy's birthday. And yes, there was cake involved.
Big birthday for @SimonMcCoyTV today.

Samms has been married three previous times and has two children, Beatrice and Cameron, from her third husband, John Holloway. McCoy has a son named Max from his first marriage. He separated from his second wife in 2019.
Samms got her big break on General Hospital, playing the role of Holly Sutton from 1982 to 1985. She has made numerous returns since leaving the show full-time, with her most recent appearance in September 2020, revealing that Holly was being held captive. It is unclear when -- or if -- General Hospital plans to revisit Holly's storyline.
Outside of daytime, Samms found fame as Fallon Carrington Colby on Dynasty and its spinoff series, The Colbys.
