If you've ever wished that you could look like the stars of The Young and the Restless, you're about to have your wish granted. The top-rated CBS soap will release a real-world line of Jabot Cosmetics later this month.
"For the first time our fans can own a piece of the show, and at the same time, share in the storyline as it unfolds live on TV," Maria Arena Bell, Y&R's executive producer and head writer said in a statement. "The brand launch is going to be completely integrated to the show. The back story on how Jabot started and product development is going to be featured in Y&R story lines, and we are going to use actual Jabot products on-set with the same packaging as you will see in retail. Plus, viewers will soon see a new Jabot set as well!"
Jabot Cosmetics is described as a line of "advanced scientific skincare and luxurious fragrances," and is the result of a licensing deal between CBS Consumer Products and Sony Pictures Television. The cosmetics will be manufactured by Fusion Brands, which is not related to the fictional All My Children cosmetics company of the same name.
Prices will range from $15 to $40.
The full line of Jabot Cosmetics will have its official debut on the Red Carpet at this year's Daytime Emmys, but fans can start purchasing Jabot products online beginning June 13. Then, on June 21 and 22, Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) will host a special show highlighting the products on the HSN cable shopping channel.
Jabot Cosmetics will also be available at Ulta retail stores this fall.
