Soap fans may know Jessica Collins as The Young and the Restless' former character, Avery Clark, but the daytime alum has a brand new gig she's excited to share with fans: The part of mom.
The New York native, who departed Y&R in July, took to Twitter to share photos of her new daughter, born on January 23. "Over the moon to finally share with you my greatest role: #Mommy," the actress wrote. "@Michaelcooney1 and I proudly present Jemma Kate Collins Cooney."
This is the first child for Collins, who describes Jemma's birth as the happiest day of her life.
It's been a pretty good month for the former Y&R actress. Yesterday the actress received a Daytime Emmy pre-nomination in the Supporting Actress category.
